Position Description

RAE Engineering is looking for an Intermediate Engineer with a well-rounded and adaptable background in engineering. The candidate must demonstrate excellent consulting ability and leadership qualities to provide assistance for a wide range of clients with challenging tasks.  Responsibilities will include trouble shooting, data management, shop and field services, lab services, audit services, as well as preparing drawings, maps, tech memos, reports, manuals, specifications or procedures in one or more engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical projects in a team-oriented environment in one or more engineering disciplines
  • Execute integrity-related tasks of ever increasing complexity and specialization
  • Prepare proposals, budgets and schedules, prioritize activities and coordinate resources, prepare updated on activities for clients, prepare reports
  • Prepare for client review or peer review tech memos, investigation reports, procedures, lab testing programs, maps, engineering assessments
  • Under support of Chief Inspector, provide shop and field services regarding QA or QC activities, including but not limited to, commissioning of new equipment, shutdown activities, field repairs and shop fabrication surveillance

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BSc. or MSc. in Engineering 
  • P.Eng. designation
  • 8 – 10 years relevant experience (oil and gas experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles 
  • Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear manner
  • Strong technical report writing skills
  • Good computer knowledge – MS Office suit
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
