General Manager (GM)
RAE Engineering and Inspection Ltd. is an engineering company that specializes in Total Asset Integrity Management. Our company has been in business since 1972 with a strong client base. Our company provides a variety of engineering and inspection services for pressure equipment, above ground storage tanks, pipelines, operational difficulties, specifications, failure analysis, coatings and linings. Services are provided mainly to the oil and gas industry, utilities, lumber, universities and others.
Our company has experienced significant growth during the last year which has resulted in the requirement for the newly created position of General Manager (GM). This role will be based out of our Edmonton office and will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing growth and continued profitability for the future.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Board of Directors in the creation and implementation of strategic business goals and objectives
- Lead and provide direction to the management team in creating and achieving strategic plans
- Responsible for the annual company budget and ensuring resources are managed appropriately within the approved budget guidelines
- Provide leadership for business development
- Keep the Board of Directors informed about company initiatives and opportunities and provide recommended actions
- Monitor legislation, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to company operations
- Promote and expand the company’s business through marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services
Requirements:
- University degree (MBA preferred)
- Registered, or eligible for registration, as a professional engineer in Canada (asset)
- Minimum of 10 years business management experience (oil and gas experience an asset)
