Position Description

Due to our expanding client base and growing project needs, we are looking for a number of Junior Engineers or Engineers-in-Training to provide service to one of our clients in Fort McMurray. These positions provide technical support to project via trouble shooting, data management, calculations, or by preparing drawings, maps, tech memos, reports, manuals, specifications or procedures. These services will be provided in the area of pressure equipment and piping.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in a team-oriented environment, in a timely manner, and with the highest quality output
  • Execute integrity-related tasks while endeavoring to increase technical knowledge and level of competency
  • Prepare for review technical memos, investigation reports, drawings, procedures, laboratory testing programs, maps, and engineering assessments
  • Utilize in-house and licensed software for data management and report preparation
  • Prepare inspection plans, undertake inspections of pressure equipment and piping, and prepare field and follow-up reports
  • Under the supervision of the team lead, undertake compliance activities, including data management, compliance tracking, form/schedules and report preparation for submission to regulatory authorities

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Materials/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • 2 years minimum experience in project activities
  • Oil and gas field experience preferred
  • Exposure to ASME codes, pressure equipment and/or piping
  • Willing to work a 10/4 schedule for the term of the contract
  • Self starter, good work ethic with a positive personality
  • Excellent computer knowledge – MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate with clients
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
