National Energy Board 

The National Energy Board (NEB or Board) is an independent federal agency established in 1959 by the Parliament of Canada to regulate international and interprovincial aspects of the oil, gas and electric utility industries. The purpose of the NEB is to promote safety and security, environmental protection and efficient energy infrastructure and markets in the Canadian public interest within the mandate set by Parliament in the regulation of pipelines, energy development and trade. These principles guide NEB staff to carry out and interpret the organization's regulatory responsibilities. The NEB is accountable to Parliament through the Minister of Natural Resources Canada.

Energy Resources Conservation Board

The Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) is an independent, quasi-judicial agency of the Government of Alberta. ERCB regulates the safe, responsible, and efficient development of Alberta's energy resources: oil, natural gas, oil sands, coal, and pipelines.

ERCB mission is: "To ensure that the discovery, development and delivery of Alberta's energy resources take place in a manner that is fair, responsible and in the public interest".

Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources co-ordinates, develops, promotes and implements policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan that strengthen and diversify the Saskatchewan economy. Yukon Department of Economic Development
