RAE Engineering specializes in all types and sizes of boiler inspection from the ASME Section 1 Miniature Boilers and Section IV package Heating Boilers all the way to section 1 F-Class HRSG’s.

Our boiler inspection team is certified by the National Board and ABSA and is widely recognized in the industry for their exceptional level of expertise and dedicated service.

Our capabilities with boiler inspections include:

• Material replication and defect analysis
• Remaining thickness measurements for boiler tubes
• Magnetic particle inspection and liquid penetrant inspection on boiler tube and header welds
• Visual identification of burn patterns and identification of combustion products

RAE Engineering’s boiler team also has welding and material expertise to monitor boiler and boiler tube repairs and boiler rebuilds.

With our boiler expertise and significant back-up engineering resources, RAE Engineering has garnered considerable experience over the past few years providing design, operational and maintenance assistance to SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage) operations in Alberta’s oil sands.
